Your Online Brand Can Be A Star

I will not make an e-book or a full length manual out of this post. There are a million and one Twitter tips, but I will focus on ONE.

First … Let’s Wait for the Drum Roll and the Big Announcement:

Search (Yes. The Search Function)

Twitter Search Box

Try it if you have not already. Let’s say you own a Wine Bar (like a friend of mine), type in “Wine Bar.” Magically everyone that has “Wine Bar” in their tweet messages will appear. You can then send them a tweet. Here is how: @Their_TwitterID Your Relevant Message

It is a good practice not to spam or you risk them blocking you or worst (like saying REALLY bad stuff about your business/marketing tactics). The goal is to engage and start sincere conversations.

I recently did a search on Social Media and bumped into @IMThinkTank (a social media events service). I sent them a tweet and it led to them reading my e-book, Online Professional Branding, and an actual phone conversation. Yes I said it, a real phone conversation. They may even sell my latest book, “The Quick Guide to Starting a Business Using Free & Cheap Internet Resources” at their next conference.

All from just using the Twitter “Search” box.

Step 1. If You Are Not on Twitter -  Sign Up to Twitter (https://twitter.com/signup)

Step 2. Follow @StrategicGen (just joking .. this is not mandatory but will be greatly appreciated)
